Super-Duper Sweet Friends [Cutesia]

Aaaand...what we have here, folks, is probably the lightest, most pastelly, sugary thing I've drawn, EVER.  

I'm not the one to blame for this extreme pastelosity - though I do love pastel colors and will voluntarily use them, these characters already came pre-packaged with the pastel!  They're Emi and Alice, 's lovely characters - and this right here is my entry for Cutesia's wonderful contest.  (Check out my latest status if you'd like to enter it for yourself!) 

These two critter girls are just as sweet as they look, and they are the best of pals. Emi is childlike, honest, and loves cutesy things though she can be a bit cowardly and shy sometimes, while Alice (whose birthday was just yesterday~ So, happy belated birthday to Alice! ) is imaginative, cheerful, and a loyal friend...though a bit clumsy. Together, they are almost inseparable - they're so close, that they're almost like sisters!  I decided to draw Emi and Alice holding hands because I wanted to express their friendship in some way in my entry for the contest, and I even put them smiling at each other♪   I think they look like they're enjoying themselves very much!  

All in all, it was a pleasure drawing these two lovely girls  I am a huge fan of their designs, the pastel colors were actually really fun for me to work with, and the fact that they coincidentally have the same names as two Dance Dance Revolution characters (and knowing me, I'm a sucker for anything BEMANI!  ) is such an "added bonus" for me☆ Cutesia, I hope you like it - and best of luck to everyone else who entered the contest!
